October has been an interesting month. Over the past three weeks my health has improved every day. I have a lot to be thankful for.
On Thursday last week I sat down to finish “Embracing the Unbearable” and the file is gone. Completely and utterly gone, as if it never existed. This is a good time to remind you to backup your documents (even your documents in the cloud) so that this doesn’t happen to you.
I’ve been speaking to my pastor and elders at church and soon we hope to launch small groups where men will work through my manuals. Please pray for me regarding this. The enemy is not happy when hurting people start healing. My goal here is to walk with others while they heal and give them the tools to do the same.
Mobile format update: It took considerable time and effort to redo manuals in A6 format and I’m still not happy with the output. I will continue to write manuals in Google Docs and then export them as ePub files. I’m not satisfied with the output, as some headings start at the bottom of the page. After testing several apps to make documents mobile-friendly, the results have always fallen short. I hope that you will understand that my time is limited and time spent trying to convert manuals takes away from writing new content. I hope to find someone who can teach me or help me do this.
On the horizon is a manual on story work, inspired by the work on Adam Young. I really admire Adam’s approach to the subject. Story work is something that should be approached in a group or with a counsellor or someone that has previous experience. It can simultaneously be a healing and painful experience.
Although I may not be able to cover every subject, I welcome your input on the themes and materials you’d like to see. Please continue to pray for me and let me know if my ministry has blessed you.
